60 insurgents killed in operations: MoI

AT-KABUL: At least 60 armed Taliban fighters were killed and 38 others were wounded in different crackdowns within past 24 hours.

In a press release issued here, Ministry of Interior (MoI) said that Afghan National Police (ANP) in collaboration with Afghan National Army (ANA) and National Directorate of Security (NDS) has conducted clearance operations against insurgents in different areas of Laghman, Baghlan, Takhar, Kunduz, Faryab, Badakhshan, Sar-e-Pul, Jawzjan, Farah, Helmand and Nimroz provinces. In the operations, 60 rebels were taken out and 38 others injured.

ANP recovered huge cache of weapons in the operations, the ministry claimed.
