Azerbaijan enterprises to invest in Afghanistan

KABUL: Azerbaijan President Ilham Aliyev has stated that the National and private companies from Azerbaijan are ready to invest in different sectors in Afghanistan, because they following enterprises are counted as bridges for both Government in boosting economy.

The following speech was made after Afghan President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani has visited Azerbaijan officials on mutual trades and boosting economy, Ariana News reported.

Afghan President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani has said,” we are here to draw the Azerbaijan investors to invest in Afghanistan, and we will work together to guarantee investing in Afghanistan.”

Azerbaijan President Aliyev also said,” our friendships is based on our mutual interests, we support all programs for stability of Afghanistan, since we have political ties we should strengthen our economy relationships with Afghanistan, Azerbaijan is the member of resolute support mission in Afghanistan, we will push efforts through to ensure peace and stability in Afghanistan,”

There are efforts underway to open a silk road connecting Asia to Europe and in future program in infrastructure we will connect Azerbaijan to Afghanistan through rail way President Aliyev added.

According to a business news portal Wadsam, the two countries opened a new page in bilateral ties and cooperation by signing several agreements following the meeting of the two countries’ presidents.

In the sphere of labor, social protection and employment, an agreement was signed between Azerbaijani Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of Population and Afghanistan’s Ministry of Labor, Social Affairs, Martyrs and Disabled. The agreement was signed by Azerbaijan’s Minister of Labor and Social Protection of Population Salim Muslumov and Afghanistan’s Foreign Minister Salahuddin Rabbani.

The two sides agreed on cooperation between Azerbaijan Television and Radio Broadcasting Closed Joint-Stock Company and the National Radio Television of Afghanistan. The Memorandum of Understanding in this regard was signed between Azerbaijani closed joint-stock company Arif Alishanov and Sultan Ahmad Bahen on behalf of Afghanistan’s National Radio Television.
