Baghlan blast leaves 2 dead

AT-KABUL: At least two people have been killed and the same others received injures in a blast occurred near to a voter registration center in northern Baghlan province on Wednesday, official said.

Provincial Governor Spokesman Mahmoud Haqmal said explosion took place at 9:30 am at Khwaja-Alwan area of Pul-e-Khormi city, center of the province when the employees opened voting registration center to kick of a working day.

He confirmed two people, including a police and an employee of the center killed in the blast. Two more, including police guard of the center received injuries.

Voting registration has been kicked off officially in 14 April and since that people are going to registration centers near their areas to vote in the upcoming parliamentary and district council elections slated for 20 October. At the same time insecurity forced several voting centers to be remained closed on several district of different provinces.
