AT-KABUL: The Bakhtar Bank, a private financial institution, has donated medical equipment worth 300,000 Afs to the state-run Malalai Hospital.

The bank’s chief executive Aamer Khalil Rahman and marketing manager Mohammad Salim Rahimi said the donation was provided on the occasion of the March 8th, international women’s day. They congratulated the women’s day to the female employees of the hospital and praised their round the clock efforts for Afghan women.

“On the occasion of the international women’s day, we would like to provide you with the equipment,” Rahman addressed the hospital’s employees.

Dr. Mohebullah Zir, an official of the ministry of public health appreciated the Bakhtar Bank for cooperating with the government health sector, saying that the two institutions hold good neighborhood.

He said that the Malalai hospital arranges 200 child births per day despite facing problems. “At least 30 surgery operations also take place in the hospital every day,” Zir said.

Mohebullah Sharif, legal adviser of Bakhtar Bank and Massouda Yari, a member of the Kabul provincial council were other speakers who congratulated the women’s day to Malalai hospital’s employees and thanked the Bakhtar Bank for the donation.

Head of Malalai Hospital, Dr. Massouda Faizi, on behalf of the bank’s staff appreciated Bakhtar Bank for the donation.

The equipment includes 10 childbirth tables, one surgery bed and other equipment.

The Bakhtar Bank is set to turn to an Islamic financial institution.
