AT-KABUL: At least three police were killed and 12 others including four police were woundedafter a car bomb attack in southwestern Logar province today early morning, said officials.

“In advance, a suicide car bomber rammed at the backside of the 1st police headquarters in Pul-e-Alam capital of Logar province early Wednesday morning and shortly later three suicide attackers stormed the headquarters and started firing,” said Logar Police Spokesman Shapoor Ahmadzai.

He said that police started retaliation attack and killed the entire three suicide attacker within 15 minutes.

Unfortunately three policemen were killed and 12 others including four police were wounded in the incident, he added.

He statement two children were also among the wounded people.

Wounded people shifted to nearby provincial hospital, he noted.

As the car bomber was too heavy the nearby houses window shattered, which resulted injuries among civilians in the area.

Taliban claimed responsibility for the attack, the groups so called Spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid in his Telegram account said that their fighters targeted police headquarter and caused heavy casualty to police in Logar province.

Although Logar is located at the neighboring around 20km far from Kabul capital, but it is one of the most insecurity provinces, where Taliban have enough presence and dominating in different districts and village in the province.
