Child rescued from abductor in Faryab

AT Monitoring Desk-KABUL: A two-year-old child had been rescued from abductor in northwestern Faryab province, local security officials said on Sunday.

Provincial Police Chief, Col. Sayed Aqa Andarabi, told Pajhwok Afghan News said that the kidnapper Ahmad Zai was arrested at the spot when tried to abduct the child in the eight police jurisdiction of Maimana.

He said that the child, identified as Idris son of Hamidullah, is a resident of Toor Pakhtoz village on the outskirts the capital of the province. He was rescued from abductors. He furthered that the alleged kidnapper is under investigation to find clues to his accomplices in the crime.

“I left all my three children in my car and went for shopping but a man opened the door of my car and kidnapped my son. He had escaped when I returned,” Hamidullah, father of the rescued child said.

He said that his children were crying after his son was abducted. “I informed the police about the incident,” Hamidullah said, adding that police fired in the air and arrested the kidnapper.

Denying the accusation against him, Ahmad Zia, the kidnaper said that he had only stolen an MP3 from the car. “I am stealing things only,” the allege kidnapper said and denied kidnapping the child.

Provincial police chief said that the issue would be resolved after further investigation into the incident.
