AT Monitoring Desk-KABUL: The Ministry of Interior has said that the enemies of Afghanistan failed to disrupt security during Eid days, as no violent incident was reported across the country.

“The armed opponents of the government had not succeeded to disrupt security during Eid days,” Acting Interior Ministry Spokesman, Najib Danish told Radio Azadi.

“Today (Sunday) which is the last day of the Eid, there is no security incidents across the country,” he said, adding, “in general we have achieved good results from our security measures.”

There had been three small incidents in provinces that have been prevented timely.

Danish informed that they prepared security plan before Eid day that have been implemented since the day of Arafah.

According to officials at the Ministry of Interior, this year, the armed groups also tried to determinate security during Eid days, but failed.

Military analysts believe that increase in people’s hatred against the armed opponent after their attack on mosques, and also security measures of security officials, had caused that Afghan people to celebrate Eid Days in more peace.

“Security agencies should keep security as they are doing during Eid Days, said Mirza Mohammad Yarmand, former Deputy Minister of Interior.

On the other day, Kabul police said that criminal offenses in Kabul, the capital city, had also decreased significantly during Eid Days.

Mohammad Salem Almas, Head of Criminal Investigation Department (CID) of Kabul Police, told Radio Azadi that the number of crimes in the three days of Eid was handful and very few.
