Foreign ambassadors, donors hold meeting with Atmar

AT-KABUL: A number of foreign ambassadors to Afghanistan and representatives from various donor organizations on Monday held a consultative meeting with the National Security Adviser, Mahammad Haneef Atmar.

The meeting was attended by various ambassadors, representatives of donor organizations and high-ranking foreign military officials where a detailed consultative discussion was held on national and regional issues and the next Kabul-based international conference.

The international partners shared their views and suggestions with Hanif Atmar in a bid to ensure positive outcomes of the international conference.

According to the press release, issued from the National Security Council office, important decisions regarding the upcoming international conference on Afghanistan have been made during the meeting.

Atmar gave a detailed and comprehensive briefing on the political and security situations in the country. He also highlighted the progress and achievements made by the National Defense and Security Forces.

Moreover, the participants of the meeting discussed all aspects of the process of international conference on Afghanistan to be held in the near future in Kabul. Atmar said the upcoming international conference would be a milestone for the political and economic stability in the country. He added the next Kabul-based international conference would add to peace and prosperity of the Afghan people. During the meeting, foreign ambassadors and representatives from donor organizations recognized the achievements made by the brave and patriotic Afghan national defense and security forces. The international partners and strategic friends of Afghanistan also applauded the sacrifices of Afghan security forces and they were optimistic in the upcoming international conference on Afghanistan.
