Iranian spy breaks Nimroz prison

AT Monitoring Desk-KABUL: An Iranian spy has escaped from the Nimroz province, sources said.

A security official, on the condition not to be named, told Pajhwok that the Iranian agent has successfully fled the jail during the visiting hours.

The official said the other day that the spy was sentenced to 15 years in prison as he was found guilty of providing sensitive information to Tehran.

Wishing anonymity, a senior police officer also confirmed that the agent has escaped after spending two years of his prison term. He said the Iranian spy was a resident of Farah province. However, he did not provide further information in this regard.
