Karzai appreciates Swiss cooperation with Afghanistan

AT-KABUL: Deputy Foreign Minister for Political Affairs, Hekmat Khalil Karzai met the Chief of Development Cooperation at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Swiss Confederation, Manuel Zagger, as part of his trip for holding the second round of political consultations with the Swiss Confederation, the Foreign Ministry said in a statement on Wednesday.

At this meeting, the Deputy Minister appreciated cooperation of Switzerland with Afghanistan in humanitarian and development areas and called for expanding these relations in various areas as well as considering inputs of Afghanistan in their new policy for 2019-2022.

The Chief of Development Cooperation of the Swiss Foreign Ministry assured of sustaining their cooperation with Afghanistan in development areas and stated that the new strategy of the Swiss Confederation shall be developed and finalized in consideration of Afghan priorities.
