Polio drive covered all Kunduz districts, while recently a positive case of polio diagnosed in Shiwari village of Dasht-e-Archi district, added the statement.

The positive polio found with a 14 months child, who will suffer from paralysis forever. Earlier two other polio positive cases has been recorded in Kandahar and Helmand province, where case of polio reached to three this year, mentioned the statement.

MoPH termed insecurity and conflicts the main challenge ahead of implementation of polio vaccination drive across the country, statement noted.

MoPH insisted that polio is a national program and implement impartially, so it is required of all involved conflict parties to pave a better ground for implementation of this drive in order to safe all children throughout the country.

Polio has no any treatment drive, but can be prevented through taking drops and vaccination, and it is possible to be eliminated through implementation of polio campaigns in the country.
