Taliban hang ex-district chief in Uruzgon

AT Monitoring Desk-KABUL: The Taliban insurgents have executed a former district chief in southern Uruzgon province, it has been reported.

Reports said that the Taliban insurgents raided the house of the former chief of Khas Oruzgon district Juma Khan, and kidnapped him. He was taken to an unknown place.

Spokesman for the police headquarters of Uruzgon, Noor Agha Kamran, said the former district chief was taken last night and was found hanged to a tree in Kala Khor area of Khas Uruzgon district. He furthered that the security forces have been sent to the crime scene for investigation and to receive the dead body.

The Taliban militants have not claimed the responsibility so far but, it is considered that the insurgents have carried such activities before.

Uruzgon bordering Kandahar is one of the insecure provinces, where Taliban are active and carry their attacks against civilians and security forces.
