Taliban’s shadow governor for Ghazni killed

AT-KABUL: The Taliban’s shadow governor for Ghazni province was killed in an airstrike in the province, officials said Saturday.

Ministry of Interior said in a statement that four armed Taliban including their so-called governor Mullah Qasim were killed in the airstrike.

The strike took place in Payinda Khil village of the Aab Band district, according to the statement.

Another two Taliban fighters were wounded in the operation, the statement added.

Several motorbikes and some amount of ammunitions destroyed as well.

This group was involved in many terrorists and destructive activities in this district and other areas of Ghazni province.

After eliminating this group the security situation in this district is expected to improve.
