AT Monitoring Desk-KABUL: The United Kingdom’s Defense Secretary, Michael Fallon has announced that Britain has taken a formal decision to deploy 100 more soldiers to Afghanistan in a bid to help, and train the Afghan security forces.

While talking to media on his arrival to NATO info-icon defense ministers meeting at Brussels, he said the UK soldiers would be used to enhance war skills and capabilities of the Afghan soldiers and air force pilots rather than any direct combat role.

He vowed the UK would continue its military and financial support for the Afghan security forces.

Michael Fallon appreciated the Afghan security forces for maintaining their forward movement during the fight period against terrorist outfits.

Moreover, UK has already 500 soldiers stationed in Afghanistan under Resolute Support Mission.

In addition to that, NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg has said that 15 among the NATO member countries has made a solemn promise for increasing their number in troops to be deployed in Afghanistan.

He said, “We will end the day with a meeting of all nations contributing to the Resolute Support Mission in Afghanistan. We will discuss the future of NATO’s presence in that country.”
